History
Elemental Skies was founded in 2016, after a night spent watching a total lunar eclipse through an old field spotting scope from my driveway. In those hours, I watched something as seemingly ordinary and every day as the moon gradually change into something completely foreign and remarkable. Witnessing this awakened a desire to discover more of the secrets and marvels that lie within the night sky.
With a humble origin focusing simply on documenting my journey into amateur astronomy and astrophotography, its mission has evolved over the years and now focuses on sharing that journey with others and encouraging them to explore the cosmos first hand. Through this, it is my hope that more people will get to know the night sky well enough to call it home.
Meet Me
Welcome! I'm Chris. I live in New England and have always had a passion for the sciences. My early career spanned marine biology, analytical chemistry, and education. However, it wasn't until later that the world of astronomy and astrophotography opened up for me. I am grateful to share in this journey with you.
